Gazette Notification Government द्वारा publish की जाने वाली official public notification होती है। जब कोई व्यक्ति अपना नाम legally change करवाता है, तो prescribed process पूरा करने के बाद उसके name change की notification Gazette में publish करवाई जा सकती है।

इस notification में आमतौर पर applicant का पुराना नाम, नया नाम, पिता या पति का नाम और residential address जैसी details दी जाती हैं। इससे पुराने और नए नाम के बीच official record बनता है।
